At Wimbledon, Mpetshi Perricard is the favorite for the qualifications

This is particularly true for Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard. The Frenchman arrives with the status of a huge favorite for qualification. Ranked 67th in the world this week and having defeated Shelton in the first round of the Queen's tournament, the 20-year-old player seems perfectly equipped to join the main draw, as shown by his number 1 seed status.

Although in the space of a year he has made a phenomenal leap in terms of level of play and ranking (he was 221st this time last year), he should not rest on his laurels.
