Alexander Zverev lần đầu tiên tham gia các giải đấu trên sân đất nện vào tháng Hai. Anh ấy thi đấu trong tuần này tại Buenos Aires và sẽ có mặt tuần tới tại Rio de Janeiro.

Anh ấy giải thích lựa chọn này: "Không có gì bí mật cả, mục tiêu chính của tôi là Roland-Garros. Tôi muốn thi đấu tốt tại các giải Grand Slam.
